Business Operations Manager | Lasseters Hotel Casino – Alice Springs
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and energetic individual to join the senior management team of Lasseters Hotel Casino in Alice Springs, the market leader in the hospitality, entertainment and tourism industry in the Red Centre.
You will need to use your knowledge, analytical and communications skills to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure Lasseters achieve its goal – “Enjoyment, Entertainment and Relaxation -Lets have a great time, recognizing that profitability is fundamental to our business success.”
The complex is commencing a $100m expansion and refurbishment to be completed over the next 3 years.
Facilities includes:
- The Crown Plaza Hotel – 205 guest rooms and increasing with the expansion.
- 4 restaurants
- 9 varying sized function and convention facilities
- Multiple bars
- 400 gaming machines
- Casino table games
- Live entertainment
- Fitness centre – the largest in Alice Springs (available for guests and the public)
- Spa, massage and health centre
- Creche/childcare to be constructed
Lasseters Hotel Casino is part of the Iris Capital Group, operating 55 venues in Australia.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain control of Lasseters diverse business operations, assisting the 13 department executive managers operations and procedures.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to provide department resilience, set targets and to drive sustainable business growth.
- Assisting the Chief Operating Officer in business projects – review and implementation.
- Foster team growth, culture and a successful approach to staff retention and services
- Consistent and effective liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will need:
- Strong leadership, customer service and communication skills
- Proven management and human resource skills
- Sound knowledge and skills covering food, beverage, stock control, functions, accommodation, gaming and table operations, marketing, loyalty activities, facilities management and legislative requirements.
- Be technology adept and engaged, having a continuous improvement outlook.
- Sound financial literacy and analytical ability.
- A successful background and experience with facilitating positive change within an organization and also outside the organisation.
- Hold or be able to obtain relevant gaming and liquor licensing requirements.
