The Surf Club – Bribie Island is seeking an experienced an enthusiastic hands-on General Manager, who has the drive, skills and vision to ensure the Club continues its established growth trajectory and leads the development plans for the club into its next, new and exciting chapter.
The premises are situated on the beach at Woorim with the front deck overlooking the ocean to Moreton Island and beyond.
The Club operates a vibrant food, beverage and gaming venue and supports the surf lifesaving club and local community.
The General Manager will report to the Board and is responsible for the profitable day-to-day operations, as well as developing and implementing the strategic direction of the Club.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated management experience in hospitality operations, licensed clubs with food, beverage and gaming operations.
- Proven experience in driving revenue growth.
- Manage and motivate teams to share the organization’s purpose, vision and mission.
- Strong leadership, human resource and communication skills.
- Passion and drive for training and developing staff.
- Sound knowledge of food, beverage, functions, gaming operations, marketing, loyalty activities and legislative requirements.
- Experience with managing capital expenditure, maintenance and renovation projects.
- Successful in developing and implementing commercial business strategies.
- Sound IT skills.
- Strong business acumen and financial knowledge.
- Hold relevant gaming and liquor licensing certificates.
